Every Sanborn Canoe Co. paddle is handcrafted in Winona, Minnesota. At 7 degrees this bent shaft paddle is a compromise for those that like the power that a bent shaft affords but still like the feel of a more traditional straight shaft. The Little Sag is a hybrid paddle of sorts, best suited for touring. If you like bent shafts but find a 14 degree a little cumbersome to guide your canoe from the stern this is the paddle for you. It performs very much as a straight shaft does, but gives you just a little more oomph in every stroke. It is a bent-shaft super lightweight wood canoe paddle. The blade is sheathed in fiberglass and a hard epoxy tip is added to ward off pesky logs and rocks. And the dedicated fox-head grip, indexed shaft and thin blade are all designed to remove stress from your hands and joints. This beautifully dark canoe paddle owes its name to Saganaga Lake, the largest and deepest of the lakes in the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness. The Little in the name refers both to the smaller degree bend in the shaft and to Saganaga LakeÕs counterpart Little Saganaga.Specifications:Length: 52Ó, 54", 56", 58ÓAverage Weight: 17oz.Blade Dimensions: 7 1/2" x 20"Shaft Style: 7 Degree bent shaftGrip Style: Dedicated Fox-head Palm GripGrip Width: 3 1/2ÓWood Type: Western Red and White CedarLaminated blade5-piece laminated shaftExtra 1/4" epoxy blade tipBlade is sheathed in FiberglassEntire paddle is coated in epoxy and spar urethane'Sanborn Canoe Co.' is branded onto one face of blade
